Deadview Cemetery. Prepared to be scared witless in this outdoors cemetery that is wheelchair accessible. 7-10 p.m. Oct. 31. $7 cash only; donations accepted. 8839 96th St. S., Cottage Grove. Corn Maze. Haunted Basement. Designed by artists, the Soap Factory’s attraction mixes art with horror while pushing visitors to their breaking points as they navigate the 125-year-old basement. Haunting Experience on Highway 61. This experience includes three haunted houses, featuring the new Schummo’s Clown House, a hayride, bonfire and an outdoor movie. House of Gore. This gruesome, maze-like haunted house is full of spooky surprises sure to scare the pants off you. Complete with rats, ghosts, and gallons of bloody gore, this haunted house is intended for adults. Nightmare Hallow-Scream Park. This park is full of ghouls, ghosts and goblins and includes a haunted house, magic show and hayride through spooky woods and swamps. Pumpkin Palooza. Pumpkins, gourds and squash abound in this colorful display. There are more than 100 varieties in this year’s exhibit from common to exotic, all cultivated by arboretum gardeners in the fields of the Horticultural Research Center. Trail of Terror. Billing itself as “Minnesota’s largest Halloween event,” the thrills and frights are endless at the Trail of Terror. Chicka-BOOM! This annual outdoor puppet extravaganza is a show for all ages and features stilt walkers, aerialists, music and fire. Old-fashioned Halloween Party. Psycho Suzi’s Motor Lounge is keeping it classy–and slightly psychotic–this Halloween, with their old-fashioned costume party. Red Bull Crashed Ice
In Red Bull Crashed Ice, skaters descend a steep ice canal filled with bumps, jumps, rollers and obstacles four-at-a-time, jostling for position as they reach speeds of up to 70kph. With only the top two riders going through to the next round, competition is fierce. The event is held in a classic knockout format, and the field of 64 riders starting the main event is whittled down to just four athletes competing in the final.
